Was this Global Grind bloggers headline inappropriate??

I was on twitter yesterday and saw this headline: "Gabby F*ck School..."
I was immediately pissed off when I saw the article. The writer whose name shows on the blog as "Dimas S" was very concerned about Gabby pursuing a college education! If the writer had done his research he would know Gabby Douglas has already waive her NCAA eligibility because she has gone Pro... Even if she hadn't what is Erin with pursuing education and a career at the same time!

Where do you get your daily news

I really like social media and I really like that social media allows me to get news stories on a regular basis that are not just local to me.

I have found though that I now mainly get all my news related information via the Internet. I hardly ever watch live TV thanks to my DVR and it is very rare that I watch my local news.

Where do you get your news relate information?

Are the Olympic athletes parents financial woes newsworthy?

Over the past 24 hours I have seen many TV news reports and online media outlets report on the financial woes that athletes parents have.

Is this news?

I do not think this is news at all. Is it "news" because the children are "famous"?

Yeah media outlets can report on whatever they want we all know that. But this type of "Lets go find ALL the "dirt" type of reporting is just nuts. It has nothing to do with the athletes themselves!

These type of stories is why many people do not take the news seriously anymore. Many so called credible news outlets are becoming tabloid TV!!

Olympics 2012!

If you're like me you may be on Olympic overload!! But I love it. I have not watched any tv in the last week except for the Olympics. Even though I check results online and know who won I still watch the events.
